Remember that post about how all those weird labour saving devices started out as stuff for folks with disabilities? @roachpatrol‘s comment is this all over again, and it’s a good thing. It’s a good thing because the more we realise that new technologies can have multiple uses, the more we can invest in things for folks with disabilities, and break the idea that they are a ‘limited’ or ‘unprofitable’ market.

In short, cheaper, better aids for people with disabilities are good for everyone.
