Walter Dean Myers

November 9, 1986, the late great Walter Dean Myers wrote an op-ed piece in the New York Times titled CHILDREN’S BOOKS; ‘I Actually Thought We Would Revolutionize the Industry’. This quote was from that piece nearly 30 years ago. And here we are, facing a serious racial crisis. Things have to change.
