Yes, size is also an aspect of diversity that does not always get well represented or truthfully represented in books. People come in various sizes, colors, with different levels of abilities, and we have so many aspects to our identities that to have a kind of “one size fits all” character is unfair.

We emphasize the importance of Mirrors for a reason. Readers need to see themselves in books and others as fully fleshed beings, not caricatures. And people of various backgrounds that are represented in books should not have these aspects of themselves be pigeonholed as a “problem” in a book or the sole “impetus for change.”
